My Writing

My publishing experience, especially those years spent in sales, has provided the writer in me with a unique perspective. You see, I really understand readers, I know intuitively what will sell and where the market will be by the time what I write hits the streets. I enjoy writing almost anything, and love the challenge of writing outside my normal frame of reference. When approached to write Fire From The Sky I had never written anything historical, but soon became fascinated by the human story behind the horror of war. Working with a cross-dressing quantum physicist also had its challenges, as did working with a serious and analytical financial planner on Professional Corporations.

When push comes to shove, as an old boss of mine used to say (constantly!), it's all about the words and how they affect people, that is where my passion lies. People tend to describe my writing style as easy; it flows like the spoken word and invites the reader on a journey - with me as their guide. I like this chatty style rather than a more journalistic one; it gives me greater freedom, and the informality allows me to sprinkle humor liberally throughout my writing.
